Dr. Perera finished his research degree (BMedSc(Hons)) and medical degree (MBBS(Hons)) in 2018. He was an emergency and ICU trainee; however, he left the training program to pursue General Practice training in 2021.

Dr. Perera entered general practice with the belief that prevention was far better than secondary or tertiary hospital interventions. He believes patients must be risk-stratified early and appropriate intervention given in a timely manner. He finished FRACGP training in 2024.

Concurrently with his GP training Dr Perera also completed his ACAM training and became an FACAM cosmetic doctor. He also completed his diploma in skin cancer. He believes that, in the Australian environment, the skin is the organ most often injured and fails. He believes that not enough intervention is taken early on to prevent skin damage, and as such,
he set out to change this trend.

After completing his GP training in 2024, Dr. Perera became involved in the emerging field of longevity medicine. His sports and GP background give him a solid and empathetic foundation to hear patients goals and form a collaborative relationship to assist his patients not just prevent disease, but achieve optimal health.
